Yes! E-Sports Asia Holdings Limited (“YEAH” or the “Company”), an Asian E-Sports tournament hub pioneer and a proprietary “E-Sport + Entertainment” platform, was invited to be the exclusive e-sports partner to participate in “Mercedes-Benz Presents: BAM Festival 2019” in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz over the weekend of October 12-13, 2019 (Saturday and Sunday) at Central Harbourfront Event Space.  The weekend was a great success, with YEAH’s special E-Sports + Family theme carried out through our especially designed promotional truck at the event space, together with two panel sessions which were hosted by YEAH at the EQ HUB at the venue.

The first panel featured leaders from the E-sports companies, who shared their views on the current development trend of the E-sports industry.  Panellists included Mr Timothy Shen, CEO and Founder of YEAH, Mr. Tommy Wong, Co-founder of eSportsHK, and Mr Aaron Lee, Marketing Director of HKCDE.

During the panel discussion, the panellists spoke about their views on the Hong Kong e-sports market, the ways to improve people’s perception of e-sports in Hong Kong, the factors taken into consideration for e-sports companies to select professional players, etc.  The panellists also discussed the future of e-sports and agreed that it is a good time to take part in the development of e-sports market.

The second panel featured Hong Kong e-sports commentator Mr Jaccky Chan, HCE Devil Team Leader Mr Missing, Ms Jennifer, HCE Angel Team Leader, and Hong Kong Cosplayer Ms Raimu Hatsune to share their experiences on how to become a professional gamer.

The panellists shared their journeys, including how they got themselves into the eSports industry, the experiences at e-sports tournaments, their achievements so far and their outlook on their future career. Furthermore, the panellists also gave advices to the audiences who are interested in joining the eSports industry.

 

In order to increase awareness to the public on e-sports, YEAH had also set up a game experience zone in the promotional truck and hosted a “Gameathlon” for the participants to play and compete in various game titles.  YEAH also held the “YEAH Cosplay Party” event allowing the public to vote online “The most popular Cosplayer”, it was truly a very lively and delightful weekend for all.  The winning cosplayer Yato won by 37,530YP.
