Today’s No Man’s Sky mega-update, Beyond will change a lot about the game, but your old creations should emerge unscathed. In a tweet, creator Sean Murray explained that discoveries and player-made structures would stay the same post-patch.
Before a large update is an crazy time. Launch, Atlas Rises, Next and now Beyond, July & August of the last four years has been so incredibly intense

Always so nervous the night before, but excited to see real people play tomorrow, to start fixing issues and improving the game
In a follow-up, Murray made clear that “we’ve focused on other ways to give the game new life and variety.” He also added: “Beyond provides a broader foundation for radical things in the future. Beyond is just another step”.
It’ll be a welcome announcement for those who have spent their time crafting their own bases, particularly the creators of the cyberpunk city.
No Man’s Sky Beyond is a one update made of three planned sets of changes to the game: VR, improved online services and a raft of smaller changes that bring the game up to a 2.0 version number. It arrives today.
