Yesports Makes History for Hong Kong EsportsAll-Hong Kong Roster Finishes Third at SFL EMEAA 2026

(Hong Kong, October 27, 2026) —Yesports’ all-Hong Kong Street Fighter 6 team finished third
at the Street Fighter League: EMEAA 2026 (SFL EMEAA 2026) Playoffs, Capcom’s official
Street Fighter team league, held on October 24 at MCM Comic Con London at ExCeL London.
The team earned US$10,000 in prize money and brought pride to Hong Kong esports.

Assembled by Yesports, the roster of Chris Wong, Rainpro, HotDog29 and Keekuma entered
the Playoffs as the lowest seed after finishing fourth in the Regular Season, defeated MVS
50-30 in the Quarter Finals, and fell to eventual champions RED DUNES in the Semi Final to
finish in the top three.

This was Yesports’ first SFL season and the first all-Hong Kong roster in SFL history. By
reaching the top three in its debut season, Yesports delivered the best team result for its
fighting game division to date and a historic breakthrough for Hong Kong esports in an official
Capcom international team competition.

Capcom’s Official Street Fighter Team League
Street Fighter is Capcom’s iconic fighting game series, first released in 1987, with the latest
title, Street Fighter 6, launched in 2023. Street Fighter League (SFL) is Capcom’s official
professional team league for Street Fighter 6, with regional leagues in Japan, the Americas
and EMEAA. The EMEAA league covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, and this
season featured six teams of four professional players each.

Unlike individual tournaments, SFL is played as 4-on-4 team battles. In each team match, the
winners of the first two player matches earn 10 points each for their team and the winner of
the anchor match earns 20 points, testing not only individual skill but also team strategy and
decision-making. The top four teams after the Regular Season advance to the Playoffs, and
each regional champion goes on to represent its region at the Street Fighter League World
Championship. This year, the EMEAA Playoffs were held at MCM Comic Con London, one of
the UK’s biggest pop culture events, with a US$100,000 prize pool.

From Announcement to Top Three: A New Chapter in Yesports History
In July, Yesports announced it would enter SFL EMEAA 2026 with an all-Hong Kong roster,
aiming to show international audiences the skill, resilience and team spirit of Hong Kong
esports players. Three months later, Yesports’ four players delivered on that promise in
London:
• July 31: Yesports officially announced its roster, which was featured by the official
Capcom Fighters platform
• September 2–6: Yesports went 3-7 in the Regular Season and secured fourth place, the
final Playoff spot, on the last day
• October 13: Before heading to London, Yesports held a Street Fighter movie priority
screening and met more than 100 supporters
• October 24: Yesports defeated MVS 50-30 at the Playoffs in London and finished third

From Lowest Seed to the London Stage
As the lowest seed, Yesports needed to win three straight team matches to claim the title,
starting with MVS, who had beaten Yesports twice in the Regular Season. In the first set, Chris
Wong’s Luke edged MVS captain Mister Crimson in the final round of the final game, and
HotDog29’s Alex swept EVO France champion Leshar of South Korea 3-0 to give Yesports a
30-10 lead. MVS hit back by winning the next two matches to level the score at 30-30.
With everything on the line, Rainpro and his signature Guile faced Kilzyou of France, the
Capcom Cup 12 runner-up, in the deciding anchor match. The set went to the final round of
the final game, where Rainpro closed it out with a perfect to win 3-2, sending Yesports into
the Semi Final with a 50-30 victory and avenging both Regular Season defeats.

In the Semi Final, Yesports met RED DUNES, who had shut Yesports out 40-0 in the Regular
Season. Chris Wong twice defeated Norway’s Phenom, a member of all three previous SFL
EMEAA title-winning teams, 2-1, scoring all 20 of Yesports’ points. The first of those wins was
decided in the final round with both players on low health. Rookie Keekuma fell 2-1 to Juicy
Joe after three hard-fought games, and Rainpro narrowly lost 2-1 to AngryBird. Yesports fell
20-60 to finish third, while RED DUNES went on to beat GTW 70-30 in the Grand Finals for
their third consecutive EMEAA title.

The First All-Hong Kong SFL Roster
As the first all-Hong Kong roster in SFL history, Yesports brought together four Hong Kong
esports players with very different journeys:
• Chris Wong: A veteran who began competing at the tail end of Street Fighter 4 and
finished second at Capcom Cup X. He posted a team-best 8-5 match record (62%) this
season.
• HotDog29: Known worldwide for his M. Bison since 2017, he competed in three seasons
of SFL Americas before joining Yesports in EMEAA. He swept South Korea’s Leshar 3-0
in the Quarter Finals.
• Rainpro: Best known for his Guile, he qualified for Capcom Cup X and Capcom Cup 12.
In his second SFL EMEAA season, now with Yesports, his perfect sealed the team’s place
in the Semi Final.
• Keekuma: A rising Hong Kong fighting game talent in his first SFL season with Yesports,
he won his very first SFL match against Capcom Cup 12 runner-up Kilzyou.

Player-First: Yesports’ Long-Term Commitment to Hong Kong Esports
Behind the all-Hong Kong roster is Yesports’ long-term commitment to Hong Kong esports.
Guided by its player-first philosophy, Yesports brought veterans and next-generation players
together this season and supported the team every step of the way, from roster building and
competition preparation to the trip to London, giving Hong Kong esports players the chance
to take on an official international league as a team.

It has been a breakthrough year for Yesports’ fighting game division. Chris Wong won CPT
2026 World Warrior: Asia East #3 earlier this year, and now Yesports’ all-Hong Kong roster
has reached the top three in SFL, marking the division’s successful step from individual
competition to team league play.

Putting Hong Kong Esports on the Global Map
It may not have been a fairytale ending, but Yesports’ run from the lowest seed has written a
memorable chapter for Hong Kong esports. Competing as an all-Hong Kong roster against
the top teams of the EMEAA region and finishing in the top three, Yesports’ four players
showed that Hong Kong esports talent can compete with world-class opposition, and
introduced Hong Kong esports to a wider international audience.

As a Hong Kong-based esports group, Yesports has long supported Hong Kong esports
athletes at international events such as the Asian Games and actively nurtured local esports
talent. This SFL third-place finish is another important milestone in Yesports’ mission to bring
Hong Kong esports to the world. Yesports sincerely thanks everyone who has supported the
team and Hong Kong esports along the way, and will continue to stand alongside its players
as it leads Hong Kong esports onto the world stage.
